Named after my paternal grandmother, Amelia honours the women who came before me and the land that holds our family’s stories. My grandmother comes from northern Colombia, a region that includes the ancestral territory of the Zenú people. 🌿🤎

In recorded Zenú traditions, snakes appear as manifestations of the mohana, a spirit associated with living waters and the underground world. This connection speaks to a landscape where water, land, and spiritual life are deeply intertwined. 💧🐍

Through Amelia, I honour my grandmother and my connection to the land she comes from a family story woven bead by bead, carrying love and memory across generations. 🪡✨
